Here you will find an overview of David Wright’s journey in contemporary music, highlighting his many achievements and collaborations in the ambient electronic and Krautrock music scene.

FIRST ALBUM

Released debut album 'Reflections' gaining attention from Klaus D. Mueller, manager of Klaus Schulze and Manuel Gottsching.

Two cassette albums followed: 'Romancing the Moon' (1990) and 'Waiting For The Soundtrack' (1991).

BREAKTHROUGH

First CD release 'Marilynmba' (1991), followed by 'Between Realities' (1992).

'Ocean Watch' (1993) became a best-seller, leading to a UK distribution deal and expanding popularity in Europe and the USA.

MILESTONE YEAR

Re-released early cassette albums and launched 'Moments in Time', featuring the acclaimed 'Spirit Of The Plains'.

Major public performance at the Guildhall Derby as part of BBC Radio Soundscapes.

EXPANSION

Released 'Dissimilar Views', featuring a break from past styles and materials from the abandoned Korce Project.

Help secure publishing deal with Notting Hill Music and released the labels first sampler “1995AD”.

CODE INDIGO & LIVE PERFORMANCES

Code Indigo’s debut album 'For Whom the Bell' (1996) achieved commercial success.
 
Launched AD Music Ltd with live performance at the AD Music Festival at Derby Assembly Rooms headlined by Klaus Schulze.
Released first live album 'Live at the London Planetarium' (1996)
1998 - 2000

CHALLENGING YEARS

Released 'Live in Duisburg' (1998) with Code Indigo and the critically acclaimed solo album 'ThreeSixZero' (1998).

Faced litigation challenges against distributor but released 'Uforia' (1999) with Code Indigo.

Produced 'Blue' 4 CD box set (2000) featuring concert recordings from Code Indigo.

Performed several UK and European concerts including Berlin Planetarium.

2001-2004

REBUILDING & SUCCESS

Released 'Walking With Ghosts' (2002), considered his most commercially successful album.

Code Indigo released 'TimeCode' (2003), performing it live at the National Space Centre.

Solo album 'Continuum' (2004), followed by a collaborative project Callisto's "Signal to the Stars".

INTENSE PRODUCTIVITY

Released 'Deeper' (2005) and performed widely, including UK and German concerts.

Code Indigo's acclaimed  'Chill' (2006) and double live album 'In Concert' were released.

 
Collaborated with Robert Fox on download album 'Before Time'
Released 3rd live album celebrating 10 European Planetarium concerts with ‘The Tenth Planet (2006) and performed first USA concerts, releasing 'Momentum' (2007).
 

Compilation Returning Tides Vol 1' released (2005).

ACCLAIMED ALBUMS

'Dreams and Distant Moonlight' (2008) win Best CD in prestigious European Schallwelle Music Awards.
 
Released collaborative album 'Shifting Sands' (2008) with Ian Boddy and ‘Trinity’ album (2009) with Ian Boddy and Klaus Hoffmann-Hoock which also spawned ‘Live at Electronic Circus' DVD release (2009).
 
'Momentum' nominated in 2008 NAV Best ambient Music awards 
Started the E-Scape Electronic Music Festivals in East Anglia (2009).
 
Released 'Sines of Life Vol 1' and the double 'Sines of Life Vol 2' (2010).
 
Released Callisto concert from the 'The Hampshire Jam' performance (2009) and their second studio album 'NYX' (2011).
 
'In Search of Silence' (2011) became one of his most critically acclaimed works.
 
'Released Spirit of Light' (2011) and the new age relaxation project Trinity (not to be confused with Trinity album!) release Music for Angels’ (2011).

BEYOND THE AIRWAVES

Released solo albums 'Connected' (2013) and Vol 1 & 2 of the 'Beyond the Airwaves' series (2014-2015).

Code Indigo’s 'MELTdown’ CD, the MELTdown DVD (2014) and their final album ' Take the Money and Run’ (2015) were released.

STRANGER DAYS - REMASTERS AND A PRODUCTIVE TIME

Collaboration with Carys on 'Prophecy' (2017), acclaimed German concerts resulting in Schwingungen Concert DVD and iTunes single ‘Call to Me’ released.
 
Released 'Stranger Days' double album (2019), 'Beyond the Airwaves, Vol 3' (2019) and 'Walking With Ghosts' ep remixes (2019).
 
New Callisto album 'The Reflecting Sky’ (2020) with Stephan Whitlan.
 
DVD release of David Wright & Robert Fox 1994 BBC concert (2020).
 
Released 'The Lost Colony' (2021).

LIVE STREAMS & GRAMMY NOMINATION

Began quarterly Youtube live streamed events ‘Beyond the Airwaves’ (April 2022-present).

Released 'Returning Tides Vol 2' (2022).

Continued collaborations with Carys with highly acclaimed ‘Oracle’ (2023) plus UK mini tour.

Callisto release 4th album ‘Either Side of Reality’ (2023) premiered at inaugural DIODE festival.

Headlined E-Live Festival in Netherlands (2024).

Acclaimed album 'Fade' (2024) released and Grammy © nominated in 2 categories; Best Album and Best New Age/Ambient album.

Also nominated in International Libera Awards and World Entertainment Awards (best album Fade and best song Elemmírë).

Code Indigo compilation 'Endgame' to be released (2025).

Collaboration with award winning flutist Sherry Finzer (2025).

Numerous solo and Code Indigo concerts planned (2025).
