David Wright has been an influential figure on the contemporary music scene since the late 1980’s with over 50 solo and collaborative albums to his credit. His popular and varied work utilises synthesisers in many ways, featuring romantic melodies and lush arrangements. His styles encompasses ambient and electronic music, instrumental rock, world music, Tangerine Dream and Krautrock style improvisations and even choral, symphonic soundtrack excursions. He won the Schallwelle Music award for Best album in 2008, and has been nominated on several other occasions. His music was Grammy © nominated in 2024 and has been nominated in The World Entertainment, Libera, NAR, and NAV awards.
